* Meet quality, quantity and timeline for the assigned development projects.

* Propose and set up scalable, safe, environmental benign, cost efficient process route for the assigned projects.

* Optimize the established process route and develop more efficient lab procedure to realize scale up purpose.

* Plan, organize, perform and document process chemistry experiment with the other other team members for alternative route scouting, process optimization, and supporting the execution of the ongoing pilot plant/kilolab projects.

* Perform development risk assessment for each individual step before scale up at pilot plant or kilolab to ensure no safety risk during the project execution.

* Accountable for the execution of projects allocated to the team and for ensuring the high-level recording of information. Ensures that records and raw data are properly retained. Summarizes, interprets, and reviews data. 

*  Ensures the high quality and timely preparation of technical reports, manuscripts, and other documents. Consistent with company policy, files patent to protect Bellen’s IP and publishes work in scientific journals. 

*  Effectively applies state-of-the-art scientific knowledge, and new technologies to the assigned projects. Ensures application of all relevant literature search methodologies to drive current projects and to support the development of new ideas.

*  Lead project team as needed and assume a scientific leadership role and establish priorities, checkpoints, and time frames for all aspects of work and projects to achieve adequate progress.   

*  Trains and directs internal laboratory personnel. Strives with supervisee to achieve high level of performance. 

* Participates in discussions at process chemistry meetings, thereby sharing information, knowledge, ideas, and judgement to guide and help establish valid chemistry directions. Contributes to the formulation of goals of the assigned project, both for proposing the required resources and for committing AUDDs, through established regular project meetings.

*  Ensures full quality awareness to oversight of non-GMP and GMP steps at level appropriate to the activity in question, and in collaboration with (and guided by) Quality organizations.
